Facilitating small groups of up to 12,Partnership Builds organises activities for school-leavers with a disability to exercise their creativity, build their skills and discover their independence in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Partnership Builds connects participants with new skills, challenges, and the wider community with an array of day activity options. Participants and their peers will come to enjoy the creative ways to enhance their life skills by taking on fun and exciting projects.
We offer supervised activities including:
- Sensory and adventure walks
- Cooking and catering skills
- Independent living skills, such as budgeting
- Exercise and active sessions
- Art, craft, and creative expression
- Sewing and textiles
- Supervised work or customer service training
- Leisure activities to build community and friendship
We collaborate with stakeholders to offer activities tailored to the needs and wants of participants, so they can achieve their goals as discussed in our initial interviews and get-to-know you sessions.
We also offer quiet rooms for participants with sensory sensitivities.
This way, participants can have fun while building their capabilities and promoting their own independence.
Yes – we have a people mover, a single wheelchair-accessible car, and 2x wheelchair accessible bus for all NDIS participant day activities.
Personalised day options are funded under the Core Supports, falling under the category of ‘Assistance with daily living.’
Just like any other outing with you participant, you should bring water, changes of clothes, lunches, medication (if required), snacks, and items your participant is used to seeing or having while out of their usual environment. Pack weather-appropriate gear such as coats or sunscreen.
We keep our groups as small as possible to cater to their sensory and mobility needs. The largest group we accommodate is 12 at present. We also aim to include a quiet room for participants with special sensory needs.
COMPASSIONATE
